Upcoming Volunteer Events
Speed Chatting with Students
All incoming freshmen and transfer students participate in Sheed Chatting to prepare for their Professional Work-Study Program. Each student pairs up with a guest for three minutes of rapid-fire conversations. After just one hour, even the quietest student has built confidence and honed conversational skills that will help them succeed in their job placements.

This is NOT your typical school day. In fact, it’s in the evening with tasty food, fun cocktails, an auction, wine pull and more. There will even be live music as we “Party at the bus Stop” at the end of the night! It’s a can’t miss event highlighting our students and school.

How to Become a Volunteer
STEP 1
Complete the volunteer application or contact the Advancement office
STEP 2
Attend a Protecting Gods Children Training: Select “Columbus OH (Diocese)”
STEP 3
Submit to a Fingerprint/Background Check
Additional Information:
Please DO NOT have background check and fingerprint results sent directly to Cristo Rey. Instead, results should be sent to ATTN: Regina Quinn, Diocese of Columbus, 197 E. Gay St, Columbus OH 43215.
If you have lived in Ohio for the past five years or more, you only need to select BCI for your background check. If you have lived in Ohio less than five years, select both BCI and FBI. Once we have the results of your background check and a record of your training attendance, we will confirm that you are ready to start volunteering!
