Shadow Day at Cristo Rey!

Students who do not visit Cristo Rey with their school now have the unique opportunity to interact with students and staff on our new Shadow Day!
Shadow Day is for students entering 9th, 10th, or 11th grade who have started the application process. To participate, please click the button below to complete the Parent Permission Slip by November 27, 2025. We will confirm your registration and send more information by email.
On Shadow Day, a parent or guardian will need to bring the students to the Cristo Rey main office at 8:35 a.m. and pick the student up at 12:00 p.m.

Tour our beautiful school building and meet current students, faculty and staff who will talk to you about the Cristo Rey Columbus experience and answer all your questions!
We are looking for students who are committed to academic, spiritual, emotional, and professional growth. It’s extremely important to us that our students are determined to do their best both in the classroom and the workplace. And it’s equally as important that all of us—students, faculty, and families—contribute to an environment based on mutual respect, care, and friendship!

Application Process
During our application process, we review academic, disciplinary, and attendance records, as well as teacher recommendations. We interview those students who have fully completed the application and who show promise to be successful Cristo Rey Columbus students!
Since Cristo Rey Columbus High School exists to serve families in need of an affordable, high-quality education, there are income limits based on the number of people in a household.
Admission Requirements
1. Application: Each applicant must submit a complete application form and family proof of income, and all requested documents from the student’s current school must be received. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
2. STAR Testing: Students who take the STAR test at their current school do not need to STAR test with us. All other students will need to STAR test with us.

3. Interview: Applicants with completed applications may move into the third phase of the admissions process. Applicants who have the potential to meet criteria to be a Cristo Rey Columbus student will be invited, along with a parent/guardian, to interview with us.
For Accepted Students Only
4. Registration: Students will receive notification of admission to Cristo Rey Columbus High School via mail. Students who are accepted and plan to attend Cristo Rey Columbus must register to secure their placement in the class.
