The Cristo Rey Columbus High School Young Professionals Board is a dynamic group of emerging leaders dedicated to advancing the mission of Cristo Rey Columbus through advocacy, service, mentorship, and community engagement. The board connects young professionals across Central Ohio who are passionate about expanding educational and career opportunities for students from underserved communities. Through networking events, volunteer initiatives, and fundraising efforts, members support the school’s unique work-study model while building meaningful relationships with fellow professionals committed to educational equity and workforce development.

Speed Chatting

Speed Chatting

All incoming freshmen and transfer students participate in Speed Chatting to prepare for their Professional Work-Study Program. Each student pairs up with a guest for three minutes of rapid-fire conversations. After just one hour, even the quietest student has built confidence and honed conversational skills that will help them succeed in their job placements.

Draft Day - The James

Draft Day

Support one of the most exciting days of the year as students learn their Professional Work-Study Program placements in an NFL Draft style event. Volunteers help welcome guests, assist with check-in and nametags, and guide students and company representatives throughout the event.

After School Soiree

This is NOT your typical school day.  In fact, it’s in the evening with tasty food, fun cocktails, an auction, wine pull and more.  There will even be live music as we “Party at the bus Stop” at the end of the night!  It’s a can’t miss event highlighting our students and school.
